Rekordbox ideal monitor size?
Hi there, I've been using rekordbox on a 17" laptop and will soon be getting an external monitor. I feel 17" is just too small for me to tag and analyze songs with.
I plan on shutting my laptop and using the external monitor only.
What is the best size monitor to get for Rekordbox?

I dont know what the "ideal size" is when the programmers and designers took there choices.
But I do know it felt a little small on my 22"-monitor. Now I have 24" and this rocks hard. I should say 24" is the best choice you can do, if you have the room for it.
Everything is clear and nice sized. I have not felt I miss anything since I changed. Before I could feel that some things were to small.
To have bigger than 24" would be too big and will fill no demand.

Are you using a wide screen 24"?
Do you have a link to the monitor you bought?
Just any regular 24"-monitor will do with Aspect ratio: 16:9. I recommend to use a good brand. It dont have to be expensive but use a brand that has good rep to get the quality going. =)
Spec like this:
Diagonal 61 cm (24 ) Full HD, 1920 x 1080 pix
Aspect ratio: 16:9
I have a TN-screen for this and I am satisfied with it.
Also see so you get the correct connections. So if you only have HDMI out on your computer dont buy a screen that only has DVI and so on. =)
Monitor size is nothing if the resolution is crap; you could be using a 32" screen at 1920x1080 and it would contain less information than a 15" screen at 2880x1800.
True Pulse. =) Thats why I recommend 24". I think that gives it perfect.
But its my opinion. I respect others to have other opionons.
I would think a 15" monitor is to small even if it had 4K (dont know if RBDJ do 4K!?).
A 15" screen is to little "window" to focus on to get a clear map over things.
A 24" with 1920 is what works good for me. If you should go higher resolutions you prob. should also go bigger screen. This is home-environment I assumed you mean. If you plan taking it to the club I should definetly go smaller (not smaller resolution).
Go with a screen that you like for other computer-things. If you are not sure go in to a computer store and look how diffrent sizes and diffrent resolutions look like with both graphics and text.
I think that 24" is a very good size for Rekordbox, but it's also a matter of how you are used to work. A lot of popular song writers are using only their laptops for this, and if they can create music on laptops, that means that everyone should be able to. Usually, I am using my 4k gaming monitor https://thepcenthusiast.com/top-10-best-4k-gaming-monitors/ for this task. I feel that the size is enough for me, I am very comfortable with it. I have just enough screen space for analyzing and arranging the beats in a good order.
