Automatic update iTunes library

For many years I keep my music in iTunes. In the past I used Traktor and Serato. Both Traktor and Serato worked flawless wit iTunes. When I did any changes in iTunes those changes where visible in Traktor and Serato.

Now I use Rekordbox and used the bridge to connect to iTunes. Importing playlists work well but when I do any changes in iTunes I have to import again. New songs in iTunes are not automatically imported by Rekordbox via the bridge.

I understand Rekordbox is music database software itself but since there is a way to connect to iTunes I wish I can keep on using iTunes to manage my music and when I start Rekordbox I wish it wil recognize new songs or changes in iTunes.

Am I doning something wrong or is it not possible to automatic update the music?
