[SOLVED] Problems connecting the XDJ RX to my Laptop
Hi i'm trying to connect my laptop to my RX so i can take advantage of the bigger screen for home use. Ive connected the LAN cables but no 'LINK' icon appears in the bottom left hand screen of my laptop screen. Ive allowed rekordbox through firewalls but the problem is the same. My laptop is about 2 years old, could it be that the ethernet cable is not compatible? Someone help me out here as im unable to use the pro dj link ability at the moment until i can understand whats going wrong.
Many Thanks

@pnut > First, disable your wireless (if you have it enabled), next, disable your firewall (not just configured, DISABLED). With the RX connected to the ethernet jack on your computer via CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cable, you should see the LINK icon appear on the bottom-left of rekordbox.
hey , thanks for getting back to me, ive managed to get the link icon now (my local area connection was disabled) but now when i go to drag and drop my tracks in either player it just says "now loading" on the display and but doesnt actually load the track. Any idea why this is?
That can sometimes happen if the firewall is blocking one of the four connections that are necessary.
Did you completely disable the firewall?
Problem solved now. I turnt unit off , left it be for a day, connected up again and is now working. Thanks
