[SOLVED] delay with cue and play button
When i connect my turntables to my laptop and want to spin with virtual dj, i always have a slight delay (like a fraction of a second) when i use the cue or the play button. so when i want to cue on a beat, the cue is set slightly after the beat, which is anoying because i have to manually adjust every time...
is there any reason why this is? i haven't tried to spin with any other program to see if they work better... so maybe its the laptop, but i highly doubt that
any help would be great!
cheers

You need to try adjusting the latency to a lower setting, it may help you... or perhaps a higher spec computer?
I'm having the same issue with my NXS's.
It's OK until the loop gets cut shorter than 1 beat, any shorter there is a delay when hot cueing.
I too have to manually adjust, which for some reason works fine. I don't understand it.
I have tried to lower the latency settings, even all the way down to the minimum but there's still a delay.
My laptop is just over a year old so it's not hardware or software issues.
Maybe the Pioneer engineers could come up with a fix in the next firmware for the NXS..?
@S-Type > We'll check it out.
I have this issue with cdj400 as i have just hooked them up to virtual dj 7. I have no idea what the latency settings should be as i am new to digital djing. Im using a 2009 macbook 2ghz processor with 4 gig ram. When i hit cue or play its takes a few secs top start playing
@Roshan > Have you tried adjusting the latency in the audio settings of the software?
