using ddj ergo as a sound card
i was wondering if i could use it as just a sound card, im using fl studio and was wondering if i could use the ergo to run the sound threw as in the fl studio audio options it picks up the ergo asio and line-2 but cant get any sound out of it.

You can use it as a sound card, but you'd still need to open the channel fader for the outputs you're using.
Channel fader, do u mean on vdj ?

me and some other users of the VDJ forum realized that the ERGO in WDM does not work on Windows but plays only in ASIO mode, is it normal?
I have tested Winamp, Win media player and any other windows program that play sound but no way.
I'm on Win 7 32 Bit with last driver and firmware.

Are you trying to assign the output to a particular channel or just route the audio through the unit straight to the Master Output?
In WDM there no way to make an routing audio, OUT 1-2 is the default for Windows programs, otherwise DVD videoplayer could use more outputs in WDM but this is not the case.
Winamp is not able to create a DirectSound buffer http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/138/errl.gif/ for example.
Another limit that I see is if I want to play audio with one program in WDM and for example VDJ or Traktor in ASIO, no way.
Any workaround/help?
It´s so easy on Windows to use the DDJ as a Soundcard Cause Always if u dont Start VDJ ore Traktor, your DDJ is Running in Sharedmode. This means you got it as a Sound Device in your Audio Output Device list.
Simple choose them As DEFAULT Audio Output device, after that start your favorit mediaplayer ore equal (at this point programms such as Sony Soundforg will use them also) and play your musik.
But make sure your DDJ is connectet thrue your speakers and all is Powerd On.
If you want to use the DDJ Headphone output, you have to select the ASIO Soundcard (also known as the DDJ) and select channel 3- 4 as main output.

you dont need to push any Faders ore knobs, just simple "Never" start VDJ ore Traktor Together with your Mediaplayer.

Given that there's no WDM driver, I'd say it's perfectly normal.
I'm really surprised because this is the first console where I have problems with WDM driver, WDM driver that in really exist because sometimes I'm able to use Win Media Player and sometimes no.
i guess the way you power on your devices ist realy important.
1. the ddj 2. your audio outs 3. your mediaplayer...
never mix that up :)
