CDJ2000 firmware bug (v4.04) Master Tempo 'On' glitch

i've found that, in some circumstances, simply turning the master tempo button on, can cause a significant glitch in the audio.

i had been trying out the newly fixed 4 beat loop button on both of my cdjs simultaneously (using the same track on both, 320mp3 from beatport) and wondered if the master tempo algorithm had been updated also, so simply pressed the MT button one one of the players. the synced mix suddenly jumped way out of time the second MT turned on, resulting in a trainwreck. this was not just a slight glitch that could be corrected with the jog, it was a significant jump that couldn't be corrected by a dj during live play.

i've since been able to make this happen again several times, although i've not yet been able to determine a set of re-produceable steps.

i was playing via the prolink using rekordbox at the time but i'm sure this has happened to me before on v3 firmware playing of RB analysed tracks off a USB stick - at the time i put it down to user error but now i'm sure it was the same error as i had just pressed the MT button also.

whilst this is not a big problem for regular operation, i think it is a bug. i have been recently doing a lot of testing to see how the recently improved master tempo algorithm is sounding, hence me turning it on/off regularly during mixes.

Oh, ah well, double reproduction!

IMHO this is a fault. I can sync up 2 tracks on traktor scratch (without the sync function enabled) and turn master tempo on and off over and over to my heart's content with no jump.

Sadly I can not do the same on my CDJ2000s, but I should be able to.

I had a problem during a live set this weekend! I am not used to use this feature since I never had it before but all this drifting story is bugging me so...

Last set I used mastertempo on 2 tracks to keep them in their original key. On BOTH I had this sudden glitch that was like a skip on the file. Then of course they went out of sinc. Detail: I am using a Western Digital My Passport HD with .wav files. The strange thing is that I clearly could hear the "skip" on both cases. Not a simple drifting problem but a weird glitch I could notice!

Of course If i write to Pioneer again I will have the same answer saying I should change to last firmware. No way I will do it though (after reading what people say about 4.04 I will keep 4.01 till a next release) since theres no way back once you do so...

4.0.4 has the same jump problem, Last weekend I used RB linked and twice a track just jumped while playing as if it was a skip in the record, Not happy obviously, Hopefully they nail this soon
