DDJ-SB2 Connection Problem

Howdy

I just purchased a new sb2 because I wanted a portable controller I could fit in my backpack along with my laptop but I am becoming frustrated because after 3 hours of trying so far I can't get Serato to fully recognize the controller. I also own a DDJSX and that works just fine with my MBP (running Yosemite 10.10.5, I'd rather not update if I don't absolutely have to). I have tried 3 different USB cables,  2 different ports, my roommates mac, a USB hub, restarting MBP twice... The bizarre part is when its plugged in, at the bottom of Serato is a msg saying, "PIONEER DDJ-SB2 hardware connecting. This can take up to a minute.". Then nothing, waited around 20 minutes a few times now. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having the exact same problem, I've tried everything and it won't recognize it.

Turns out, in simpler terms, the ddjsx has seratodj built in, but you have to buy full serato for $99 or use the 14 day trial to enable it on your sb2.

This sounds exactly like my problem! Are you running Windows 10 too? And what does show up in your Device Manager? Mine says that the drivers are not installed but I have the latetest drivers installed (1.100).
