Does Rekordbox send BPM Data to DJM Mixers via USB connection?
Hi! I'm thinking of buying Rekordbox DJ for the performance mode. I want to know if Rekordbox sends BPM Data to a mixer like DJM900nx2 or DJM750mk2 via usb connection directly to the mixer. The DJM 900 SRT did this with serato dj, it's a shame the newer models don't allow for this anymore!
Sadly I've used up my trial a while ago when my s9 wasn't supported, tried the software for 5 minutes and never touched it again unitl now, the newer versions have sparked my interest again and the fact that I now have Rekordbuddy.
Thanks in advance

Okay, so apparently this is something new for rekordbox 5 - the BPM data is sent from the software to the mixer when that channel is selected for the beat effects on the DJM.
This applies to the DJM-900NXS2, DJM-750MK2, DJM-450, and DJM-S9.
@David > No; when a mixer is used as an audio interface for rekordbox dj (performance mode), the onboard FX are audio-based, not receiving the grid data from the software. Unfortunately, currently only export mode sends rekordbox grid data over the Pro DJ Link to the DJM-900/2000 series mixers.
Hey, bumping this thead again.
I heard the DJM450 pulls data straight out of Rekordbox DJ (performance mode), is it the only mixer in the series to do so?
@David > Sorry, I am not aware of the DJM-450 being able to do that - it would be news to me.

It's mentioned in this video.
Also Im sure the djm s9 also pulls bpm data, otherwise it wouldnt be much of a supported device
sorry i meant the 450 mk2!!! not the mk1
There is no DJM-450MK2...
lol you're right, I briefly got the 400 and the 450 confused.
Anyway, point still stands. Mojaxx claims at 3:35 in the video that the 450 pulls bpm information directly from the software, so is he wrong or not?
I don't have a DJM-450 here to verify, but the S9 certainly does. I've asked our product team to confirm which mixers are now receiving BPM data from rekordbox in performance mode.
that's huge man! the 900 nxs2 being supported is a huge deal since many clubs have those already. Might go out and get me a copy of RBDJ afterall
Thanks a lot!
