DJM 900 headphone issue

I have just purchased i djm 900 and im having few problems with listening to the master through the headphones. If i assign a channel to cue the sound will come through my headphones no problem but when changing to mixing only the cue will play and when changing to master nothing will play through my headphones. Does this sound like a fault . Anyhelp will be appreciated
