Paying for Rekordbox???
Do we seriously have to pay separately for the software to use the XDJ-RX? Is this a joke? This controller was well over $1500 and we have to pay for the software to use it?

no, Rekordbox is free
The Rekordbox Software is free to prepare your Tracks and export to USB drives ! If you wanna use Rekorbox DJ as a DJ Software (like Traktor / Serato / VDJ) you have to pay for this feature.
The XDJRX was designed to be a stand alone all in one system, not
a software controller, so no performance software.
Pioneer made the firmware changes to satisfy the customers,
so we actually got something extra that originally wasn't there.
XDJRX owners can now have the option to go stand alone or controller.
yes, you have to pay for it, but only if you actually like it. if you already used the trial before full compatibility was available, i am sure it is not that hard to get another trial offer.
no, you don't have to pay for it, Rekordbox which is designed to work with the XDJ like the CDJ-2000s, Rekordbox DJ PERFORMANCE MODE is what ou CAN pay for, but it is not needed for the XDJ, the XDJ is a standalone used with flash drives and the FREE Rekordbox
