CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 - USB 3.0?
Hi,
Are the new CDJ 2000 Nxs2's using USB 3.0 now?
I know before it was only 2.0 but wondered if they will now read usb 3.0 sticks?
Thanks

All CDJs are USB2 host ports, but all USB3 devices are backwards-compatible and can be read in USB2 hosts.
There is no benefit to the CDJ having USB3 speeds as the maximum (theoretical) bandwidth of USB2 is 40MB/s, and even if you played the highest quality songs possible on four linked players all from that one USB drive, it wouldn't get close to 40MB/s.
Where USB3 is desirable for a USB device is when exporting from rekordbox; faster drives = faster write speeds = less waiting.
yes 3.0 works now on nxs2
Really? I thought it was that they are usb 3.0 compatible but still only USB 2.0 speeds.
ah, maybe you're right, but it's good because it's more fast to export tracks on usb device from rekordbox.
Please if you can help me i have a seriously problem on my decks nxs2, emergency loops appear always when i use usb key with link, but when i use HDD with link, it appears less..
They are compatible like cdj2k nexus and 2k mk1.
Always appreciate the straight up official advice and info Pulse, thanks.
