CDJ2000 freeze, goes to black, red/green dots on screen

Music keeps on playing but there come red/green dots on screen, goes to black, back to the dots and normal again.

Any idea? Have the latest firmwire.

I play with USB (Rekordbox)

Started just after the new cdj's we're released.

Something similar to this happened to me a year ago with one of my 2000's. I ended up taking it apart and reseating the cable for the display. It's worth a shot. It worked for me.

this happened to me years ago, had to replace the video board in the player. It would act as if the cdj was rebooting but it actually was still all functional, it was just the screen/board rebooting

mine used to do this, looks like it get scramble but other times i got dots all over and then screen went off

@BriChi - This is happening to one of my CDJ2000nexus. Can tell me exactly what the video board is, like a pioneer part number? I think I need to order one but I need to be sure what board is. Thank you

Is it the LCD Module CWX3970? Thank you

BriChi

can't recommend a board really being it was a different player, sorry. plus pioneer doesn't allow users to discuss technical info unfortunately

i had to replace a board in mine, can't really give too much info here cause Pioneer doesn't like it when it comes to trouble shooting hardware. I can't say as i blame them too, i am not a certified tech so if i give you wrong info then I'm to blame. I will say i had a similar issue, replaced a board inside and it was fixed on both of my CDJ's
