Sound quality differences SR vs. SX

Hi there,

Looking to buy either the DDJ-SR or the DDJ-SX however I am coming from my existing setup of CDJ 2000s and a DJM 900 nexus and therefore do not want to experience much of a downgrade in sound quality if possible since what I have become accustomed to is so good! In case you're wondering, I need the cash, which is why I'm selling my 2000s and 900 nexus and buying a controller instead.

Any advice on the DAC used in both the SR and SX and the overall quality of the sound card would be much appreciated. I've had a look around on the internet but not found too much on the subject unfortunately. I can see from the tech specs that the S/N ratio is different on the two controllers.

I've currently got the DDJ-Wego which is entry level and I can notice a definite drop in audio quality after using the Vestax VCI-300 a few years back.

There seems to be a low level warble evident in all tracks but the quality is perfect when in offline mode playing through the laptop sound card.

I can't be much help to you but I'm looking to get an SR so will keep tabs on this thread.

Iv tste both and imo sx sounds better than the sr
