REV 5

guys please can someone help im completely baffled ive just got the REV 5 but normally use CDj2000s so not had a controller before, doesnt matter what i do i cant get it to work , its connected as when i pull the cable out it says REV 5 DISCONNECTED on the screen , if i press play on the laptop the tune plays and the volume goes up and down by turning the knob on the REV 5 it also plays through the headphones however the platters just wont work there not dead as the light up when the pwer is turned on however i just cant seem to load the tracks up , ive got the correct driver so im completely confussed as REV 5 selected in audio tab, any help would be much appreciated
