Omnis Duo Laggy Waveform
When going into the music library or away from the wave screen during playing something waveform becomes very laggy and takes few seconds to become smooth again. Seems like memory or cpu issue not processing fast enough. Unit has the latest firmware 1.2

The Omnis Duo, a fantastic DJ controller!
I'm happy to help you troubleshoot the laggy waveform issue you're experiencing.
**Laggy Waveform: Possible Causes:**
Based on your description, here are a few potential causes for the laggy waveform:
1. **Memory or CPU Overload**: As you suspected, it's possible that the Omnis Duo's memory or CPU is being overwhelmed, causing the waveform to become laggy.
2. **Firmware Issues**: Although you've updated to the latest firmware (1.2), it's possible that there might be a bug or an issue with the firmware that's causing the problem.
3. **Music Library Size**: If your music library is extremely large, it could be causing the Omnis Duo to struggle with processing and displaying the waveform.
4. **Hardware Issues**: There might be a hardware issue with the Omnis Duo's display or processing unit, which could be causing the lag.
**Troubleshooting Steps:**
To help you troubleshoot the issue, I recommend trying the following steps:
1. **Close Other Apps**: If you're using any other apps or programs on your computer while using the Omnis Duo, try closing them to see if it improves performance.
2. **Update Drivers**: Ensure that your computer's drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues.
3. **Clear Music Library Cache**: Try clearing the music library cache on your computer to see if it improves performance.
4. **Reset Omnis Duo**: Try resetting the Omnis Duo to its default settings by pressing and holding the "Shift" and "Power" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
5. **Check for Firmware Updates**: Keep an eye on Pioneer DJ's website for any firmware updates, and update your Omnis Duo as soon as they become available.
6. **Contact Pioneer DJ Support**: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, reach out to Pioneer DJ's support team for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or repair options.
**Additional Tips:**
To minimize lag and improve performance:
1. **Keep Your Music Library Organized**: Keep your music library organized and tidy to reduce load times.
2. **Use a Fast Computer**: Ensure that your computer is fast and capable of handling demanding tasks like music processing and display.
3. **Monitor System Resources**: Keep an eye on your computer's system resources (CPU, RAM, and disk usage) while using the Omnis Duo to ensure that it's not overwhelming.
I hope these troubleshooting steps help you resolve the laggy waveform issue on your Omnis Duo!

Thanks for responding,
I believe I need to clearify myself when describing these issues. I only used a USB stick with limited songs and yes they are organized, use to have a Denon Prime Go and Numark Pro Go priced less than the Omnis Duo that didnt have these issues. Already restored the unit and updated to the latest firmware and same results. The waveforms dont stay laggy after going from any menu on the device mainly my playlist but happens out of many menus and im not searching for tracks. All other options arent on like wi-fi or bluetooth when this is happening. After paying a permium price for this unit I was expecting better performance for the price. I contacted support to address this issue also because earlier I couldnt reply to this comment. Gave them a video showing them what issue im reporting. In the video shows while in waveforms something playing then select my second song to play on the available deck main song lags for a few secs then becomes normal. Not something that stops my work flow but after spending $1600 expected to get great performance from the other competition. Love this unit because it works well with Rekordbox for me after using Denon and Numark. I'm not the only person that expereince this issue, seen Youtube videos of some Dj's experiencing same issues. Hopefully many other user will come forward and not accepting this as a overlook to address this issue in future updates.
