DDJ REV 7 and Serato DJ Pro - Bass Ducker Effect (Jet Pack) doesn't work

I have a DDJ REV 7 and it does everything I want it to but the Bass Ducker software effect (Serato Jet Pack expansion pack) which "ducks" the bass when activated leading to a smooth transition ( a bit like the HPF but without affecting the mids and highs) just doesn't work no matter what I try.. The good folk at Pioneer say its a Serato issue and Serato have taken about 4 weeks so far, with no answer (yet).  The Bass Ducker works fine with other DDJs and also if no controller is attached., but as soon as the REV 7 is plugged in the effect won't trigger.

I;ve noticed that the FX panel in Serato changes from the usual panel to one that says "Insert Enabled" when I plug in the REV 7 - so it won't allow me to assign a deck etc... All the other software effects work fine, but the Bass Ducker (which I used to use all the time) does nothing at all.

Amy ideas anyone?

NOW FIXED! Serato discontinued the Bass Ducker effect when it upgraded Serato FX in 2024. So use the upgraded Serato FX within Serato DJ Pro to customise the HPF filter to make your own "Bass Ducker". By adjusting the resonance and other settings you can create (an re-name) your own Bass Ducker that kills the low end and leaves the other frequencies untouched, so melodies and vocals remain level but the thump, thump thump is removed. Excellent for bringing in the new baseline and kick of the next track "on the One". Works well on all paddle FX DJ controllers and mixers. It also removes the need to kill the low end EQ if the FX paddle is locked in the top position, keeping the melody and vocals intact on the outgoing track, until you want to ditch them.
