XR3 pads unusable on performance mode. How to match hardware UI?

Why is rekordbox performance mode forcing me to use pads different than what's on the hardware?
I see purple on pad modes when plugged into my laptop. Hot cue shifts to Pitch shift which makes no sense.

When I use my USB, it works as the call buttons are ID'd on the user interface. I don't want my cues to start pitch shifting, that's ridiculous.
