Ableton Link
Hi,
using Rekordbox 6 with a Pioneer DDJ-400 I want to beat sync with DasLight 5. I tested the Ableton Link option in Rekordbox and DasLight is discovered and syncing the to beat pulse set in the Ableton UI in Rekordbox UI.
But to my dismay I discovered, that the BPM setting of Ableton is totally disconnected of the BPM of the current track!!
Who thought that was a good design decision?
Am I doing something wrong or is it a feature of Rekordbox 7 to automatically change the Ableton Link BPM setting to that of the currently played track?
Having to adjust that manually makes absolutely no sense to me.
Or is there maybe a competitor that does that better?

This does not answer my question. Since the FAQ does not contain a timestamp of last review, I do not know, if the FAQ is recent enough to cover also version 7.
Also, the FAQ does not answer my question about having the BPM of the track be applied to Ableton Link automatically.
Have the exact same issue. Check out this topic

The ableton link feature in rb performance mode is completely useless because it acts as master while the ableton link plugin in rb needs to act as slave
