Rekordbox 7 for windows will not run on ARM, 6 is fine
I have Rekordbox version 6.8.1 running on my Windows 11 based ARM PC (Surface Pro x). This version of Rekordbox works very well under emulation.
When I install Rekordbox version 7 on Windows 11 on ARM, the installer runs and completes successfully, but post-installation, the program will not run at all. Can the team please investigate.

Sorry, but ARM is not supported by rekordbox 7.
Other customers have asked as well, but we do not know when it will be supported.
Same issue here. Rekordbox 7 will not run on Windows on ARM. Looks like it's crashing at startup.
Latest v6 runs smoothly though in emulation mode. Hopefully it will be supported in the near future.

Microsoft has now started the process to depreciate Intel X86 based PC`s for laptops and mobile PC`s in preference for the new Snapdragon ARM processors, which are in line with the performance of Apple`s M class ARM chips.
Windows 11 running on ARM processors can already run most x64 windows programs under emulation, including Rekordbox version 6.
However, Rekordbox version 7 will *not* currently run on an ARM windows PC. Given Alpha Theta are using an updated version of their same software development framework used on version 6, there is a reasonable chance this emulation problem can be addressed.
Given the recent launch of Snapdragon X ARM chips which are directly competing with Apple M series chips, these compatibility issues for your customers are only going to grow.
Could the team please take a look at Rekordbox version 7, and see if its practical to update it to make it compatible with Windows 11 on ARM, via emulation. We appreciate a native Arm build is a long way off, so getting 7 running on emulation would be an ideal stop-gap solution.
I have forwarded your request to the engineering team for consideration.
With a lot more ARM laptops on the way, this problem is going to get a lot bigger in a hurry. My main Rekordbox laptop is now 7 years old and I'd love to upgrade to a new Microsoft Surface Pro X Elite, but I can't until I'm satisfied that RB is going to be fully compatible and stable. The future is now, Alpha-Theta! Let's go! Lol
It may be that Microsoft gets us to an (emulation based) solution before Alpha Theta have resource to look at this.
Windows 11 build 27744 (currently in the canary channel) promises better CPU instruction support for the PRISM emulator. If anyone has a test machine they can use to try Rekordbox 7 on with this new windows build, please do post your results here for the benefit of others. Thanks.

The whole thing is just ridiculous. I mean, a Rekordbox competitor already has their software fully compatible, PLUS they're taking advantage of the NPU to speed up stems etc. And they have nowhere near the resources of Alpha Theta. The fact that Pioneer DJ, the dominant market leader, just sits here and says "sorry, no can do!" is ludicrous.
Hi AlphaTheta, can you please confirm when we can expect the Rekordbox software will fully be supported and functional on Microsoft OS running on ARM processors? Because this is causing a technical issue for DJs who want to upgrade to a new laptop. Like I purchased Microsoft surface 7 with Snapdragon X elite processor but now I am not able to launch Rekordbox software in new laptop and still I have to stick with my 6 years old laptop for rekordbox.
I wish and hope Alpha Theta will address compatability issues with ARM 3for RekordBox 7
The lovely Gabriel has confirmed in the below thread that Rekordbox version 7.0 requires an AVX2 compatible CPU
RekordBox 7 does not open – Pioneer DJ Community
The current version of the Windows 11 PRISM emulator, which allows x86 code to run on ARM, does not support the AVX2 instruction set. Therefore Rekordbox 7 cannot and will not run on ARM. Yet....
Windows Insider build 27744 includes updates to the PRISM emulator in Windnows 11 to suport AVX2 instructions.

TL;DR - Rekordbox 7 should run on future windows 11 versions once this insider build goes live - if someone wants to test this now on the Windows 11 insider canary channel, and post back their results , that would be helpful.
Windows 11 version 25 H2 now contains the required avx2 support to run Rekordbox 7, however it needs enabling manually.
- Right click the Rekordbox 7 shortcut and click Properties
- Go to the Compatibility tab
- Check 'Show newer emulated CPU
features (this enables AVX/AVX2 support)
Click ok, and Rekordbox 7 will run.
