How is DDJ-FLX4 built-in soundcard compared to external audio interfaces
Hi all. First post here.
I'm thinking of switching to pioneer/rekordbox since i got a DDJ-FLX4 I'm coming from a terrible experience with NI/Traktor (Got an S2 mk3 controller that only lasted one year before starting to break)
Question: I was using the s2 with a Behringer audio interface because sound output of S2 was horrible. I was wondering if I need to do the same with the DDJ-FLX4... I found this pioneer controller to have better output but I don't know if it's placebo because it's new lol.
Anyone tried this controller with audio interfaces? What do you think? is there some article i can read about? Audio interface im using is Behringer U-PHORIA UMC404HD.
Thanks,
Nicolás

The sound is very low quality if you compare to a Motu M4 for example. Before I have an FLX10 I used the Motu M4 and DDJ-400 as controler. The sound of M4 is very good particularly when you play on big HP setup.
The impedance headphone output of the Motu is OK for DJ headphone like HD25 or Pioneer headphone.
well i was able to get the flx4 to work with the audio interface, but had to go back to built-in sound because i couldn't stream using obs. I still think it sounds better than the built-in sound of the NI S2 mk3.
