My DDJ-SZ had massive channel bleed after repair
So I have a very well loved DDJ-SZ. I had some issues with the master output pot starting to cut out. I took the whole controller apart and took just the main board to a local repair shop (I took it apart myself because if I didn't repair times where 4-6 weeks, where they said they would put the new knob on in a hour with the raw board. When the tech inspected the board he said there was many micro cracks on tons of the pots and switches. But not to worry. A quick dab of solider and some heat and they where all fixed.
Well I just put it back together and the master output is fixed but I'm getting massive channel bleed from channel 2 & 4 over to all 4 channels. Nearly full volume from Channels 2 & 4 onto all 4 faders.
Channels 1 & 3 function normally.
I'm in a bit of a panic and at a loss on what todo. I have the service manual. But I have 2 big events this weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Has anyone taken one of these apart before? Have you seen or run into this before?

Hi there,
It is not advised to open the device and perform repairs yourself.
We always recommend having DJ units inspected at one of our Authorized Service Centers.
We invite you to start a repair request and our team will be in touch shortly.
The service guys are fully trained with a wealth of experience working on Pioneer DJ/AlphaTheta equipment and will be able to fully test your DJ device and advise you on the next steps.
Hey Yves. That's really not helpful. Shipping costs alone in Canada would put the repair cost over the units value.
How can I get on the phone with a tech? There has to be some mechanism to allow this.
Again shipping a 10 year old controller 2500km's is just out of the question. I even started to fill out your forum and it stats no authorized repair facility's available. I will pay for tech support that's not the question but 10 weeks and $1000's of dollars in shipping and repairs doesn't make sense. I have tech centers locally with a the skills needed and I have the repair manual Infront of me.
Help me with a solution that really works Yves. DM me if you have to make it not public.

Hi DJ Code E,
I know this response is way late. But I just joined the forum.
I was interested in buying a used DDJ-SZ2, but wasn't sure Pioneer would perform repairs on the unit, as it is discontinued. I found the authorized repair facility (bellow) on the Pioneer website, and the associate I spoke with indicated that they service SZ2s...and I would infer SZs as well.

I know this facility is still in America. But I would assume New York is somewhat closer to Canada...I'm in Florida. Hope this helps...and that you've already been sorted.
Regards,
Norman
Hi DJ Code E,
I wasn't aware you were in Canada.
It would be better to have it repaired at one of our Authorized Service Centers.
Please find here our ASC in Canada.
