SX2 not recognised by any DJ Software?!

hey, I got my DDJ-SX2 in the last month. I have my iMac running on the latest version. For the last month it had been working fine with Rekordbox, where it had started the free trial on version 7.0.1. I plug it in, off we go. No issues.

However yesterday when I plugged in my SX2, it was recognised by my iMac as plugged in, as signalled by the lights, but not recognised at all by rekordbox. I tested it on my laptop's rekordbox, where I usually have a DDJ-400 that works perfectly fine, and it didn't work there either. I then downloaded Serato DJ Lite on my iMac to see if it was a rekordbox issue, but it wasn't recognised on Serato either.

I took a look at the Audio MIDI setup and the controller is recognised there.

I tried multiple USB ports.

I restarted my computer.

I downloaded the latest firmware update, but when trying to open it, it tells me that the SX2 is not connected (when it was).

None of this changed anything.

It's so peculiar that my Mac can recognised the controller, but no DJ software does.

The only thing that happened between yesterday and prior use was that the Free Trial on rekordbox was live. Nothing else in the setup has changed, but I don't know why that would mean it doesn't work on another software like Serato or on another device (laptop)

I have no idea what to do and it's currently useless.

Please help!

Yves

Hi Sachin,

Please note that when you installed rekordbox, it will offer you a one-month Free Trial to rekordbox giving you access to all its features.

After this one month, the free trial will automatically expire and you will log back into the Free version of rekordbox.

Bear in mind that the DDJ-SX2 is primarily a Serato DJ controller. This model is compatible with rekordbox but will require a subscription.

I hope this helps
