relocation of tracks

the relocation doesn't work at all! is almost impossible to relocate by hand 700 tracks. I already tried the auto relocation and it doesn't find any of the tracks. Then when I try to relocate by hand. Normally when you do so you can write the name of the song in finder and the mac will tell you where it is. Then you just have to click on the file and it will be done. Now when I search for the track it shows the track but you can not select it. Could you repair it please!?
