EUROLITE LED TWIN SCAN BAR - wrong color mappings in fixture database

Manufacturer: EUROLITE / Steinigke Showtechnik
Model Name: LED Twin Scan Bar
Number: 51786200
Fixture Type: Scanner / Mover
Product Website: https://www.steinigke.de/de/mpn51786200-eurolite-led-twin-scan-bar.html
Manual: https://www.steinigke.de/download/51786200-Anleitung-142426-1.100-eurolite-led-twin-scan-bar-de_en.pdf
7CH, 8CH & 14 CH DMX

The fixture exists in the fixture database already, but the DMX-value to Color-mappings are wrong.
To be precise, the user manual is wrong and the database reflects the wrong values from the user manual.
The vendor (Steinigke Showtechnik) has been informed about the wrong mappings earlier today.

The fixture offers various DMX channel modes, whereof the 7CH, 8CH and 14CH modes have a dedicated color control channel.

The following wrong mappings are listed in the manual (and thus are wrong in the database):

DMX-Value   Color

000-015        white (open)
016-031        violet
032-047        green
048-063        yellow
064-079        cyan
080-095        red
096-111        orange
112-127        blue
128-143        open+violet
144-159        green+yellow
160-175        cyan+red
176-191        orange+blue
192-207        open+green
208-223        violet+yellow
224-239        cyan+orange
240-250        red+blue
251-255        rainbow effect

The following values are correct (tested using the DMX Direct Control Feature of Recordbox):

DMX-Value   Color

000-031        white (open)
032-063        violet
064-095        green
096-127        yellow
128-159        cyan
160-191        red
192-223        orange
224-250        blue
251-255        rainbow effect

Many thanks for your support.

I need to update my request:

The user manual seems to be correct, but the implementation in the fixture database seems to be wrong..
I just noticed that the DMX-value to color-mappings are different between the various channel modes.
5CH, 7CH & 8CH Mode use this mapping:

DMX-Value   Color

000-015        white (open)
016-031        violet
032-047        green
048-063        yellow
064-079        cyan
080-095        red
096-111        orange
112-127        blue
128-143        open+violet
144-159        green+yellow
160-175        cyan+red
176-191        orange+blue
192-207        open+green
208-223        violet+yellow
224-239        cyan+orange
240-250        red+blue
251-255        rainbow effect

The 14CH Mode uses this mapping:

DMX-Value   Color

000-031        white (open)
032-063        violet
064-095        green
096-127        yellow
128-159        cyan
160-191        red
192-223        orange
224-250        blue
251-255        rainbow effect

When I press the "Color Button" in the Lighting control section, the Twin Scan Bar colors differ from what I selected.
e.g. if I select "red", all other fixtures show only red color, but the Twin Scan Bar shows "violet".
When I select "green", all fixtures except the Twin Scan Bar switch to green color. The Scan Bar shows yellow then ....

This makes me believe that the color mappings as shown in the user manual are not properly implemented.
Can you please verify?

Many thanks in advance for your support!

As you can see from the manual, the 14 channel mode has different DMX details than the other modes. Plus according to the color wheel drawing, number one is blue.
We have followed your feedback and updated it in the AtlaBase library. It will be reflected in the next rekordbox fixture library update (performed once a week on Wednesday or Thursday except for the national and company holidays). Please find the latest list of the library fixtures here (under Fixture library lists).

The correct fixture version will have to be 3001.

I tested the latest fixture version this morning and can confirm that the colorwheel mapping is now correct. Many thanks for your support!
