Rx3 Beat FX issues

Earlier when I was recording a mix I used an effect then turned off the blue FX button, however when turning the fx nob the FX was still on? This ruined my mix and I couldn’t get the FX to turn off at all. This is a brand new unit. Also the left side off the effects don’t seem to function in headphone cue and only master but I’ve read this can be a feature of some decks. Any ideas before I contact the merchant? Thanks
Yves

Hi Jake,

Please note that most of the time reverberation effects are built in as a post-fader effect because you need the effect to stay working even when you turn down a channel fader.

Post fader effect functions after a channel fader, so you cannot hear from a headphone.

You can hear a pre-fader effect because it works before the channel fader.

Therefore, you can hear the effects like TRANS for Beat FX, and FILTER for Color FX on a headphone, but you cannot hear Delay, Echo, etc.

Those are the effects that do not work through headphone monitoring:

Color FX:

- Space

- Dub Echo

Beat FX:

- Delay

- Echo

- Ping Pong

- Spiral

- Reverb

If you want to hear the effects on your headphones, you'll need to CUE your MASTER output.

Regarding the issue that you experienced with your recording, are you able to replicate it?

Jake Evans

Hi thanks for the reply.

Yes I have just made a short video showing how the beat effects keeps going on even toning the blue button is solid and not flashing. How can I get this over to you?

Thanks

Yves

Hi Jake,

The best thing to do would be to create a ticket here where you'll be able to tell us about your setup and send the videos showing us the issue you are experiencing.

When sending a heavy file, please make sure that you do not send an email from WeTransfer website.

Instead, generate a shareable link then copy and paste it to your email before sending it to us.

Thanks

Yves
