Rekordbox iOS and Tidal Streaming on Pioneer XDJ-XZ: Why the Limitations?

Hey everyone,

I’ve just started using my Pioneer XDJ-XZ again after a bit of a hiatus. I’m running Rekordbox for iOS (version 4.3.4.3) on an iPhone Pro 12 alongside a MacBook Pro 13". My Tidal subscription is the DJ-specific one, which you'd think would integrate smoothly—yet, here we are. The Rekordbox app on my iPhone only plays tracks available on Rekordbox, leaving my Tidal library off-limits.

Considering how widespread streaming services are for DJs these days, it’s surprising that the XDJ-XZ locks out direct Tidal streaming, especially when lower-end controllers manage it just fine. Has anyone else run into this limitation with the iPad setup?(can possibly use this) And why, after all these years, hasn’t Pioneer made more progress on this?

It’s clear I can just plug in the MacBook and play everything, but it’d be much simpler if the iOS app could stream Tidal directly to the XDJ. Is this some market restriction (don't see how Pioneer can squeeze me further I have the higher end kit (at year of purchase), or just a case of not prioritising the casual DJs?
