I have seen many comments on Rekordbox glitching with controllers I have a FLX-10 and DDJ400. I have this issue with 4 different computers all using Windows 11 Specs below.  Some of these computers are not low-end machines and 1 is a fresh install. I have tried all the expand the buffer stuff nothing works. This happens with Rekordbox 6.8.4 and 7.0.8.

 

The fastest way to reproduce the problem is open Microsoft edge and close it while Rekordbox is playing a track. NOTE it will not glitch ever when running the PC speakers only, when the FLX 10 is attached and running the ASIO FLX-10 driver. Note you will get random glitches as other background processes try to run.  By this I mean standard mandatory Microsoft processes.  I even get random glitches when stems is enabled. The GEN13 computer below has the issue and it has no additional software loaded on it from a clean install.

Mixers CDJ and HID mode

Note also you may get a glitch in HID mode talking to an A9 or V10 CDJ3000 setup if you have stems enabled. The glitch stops once stems analysis is complete. But will glitch if you open Microsoft edge.

 

It looks to me that the ASIO driver does not get real time processing priority or there is an incompatibility with the ASIO drive and the FLX10/mixer controller software running over the same USB port.

I have read many people have this problem on many other controllers/ computer combinations.  Note I also have a DDJ400 that does not seem to  use the same modified ASIO driver and it works fine all the time. Even on the lowest spec computer.

With so many complaints on so many forums I think this problem is real and needs fixing not just the same old “must be your setup” comment we all seem to get from the so called experts.

Please don’t ask me about version of firmware etc everything is up to date (as of 31/2/2025) and yes the problem occurs on mp3s (all rates) FLAC, WAV AIFF
