Rekordbox plan + DDJ 1000 + recording issue
When I purchased the DDJ-1000s years ago, it came with a subscription to Rekordbox, which I set up using a key. I just bought a new laptop, and my Rekordbox account doesn't seem to recognise that I have a subscription, and I'm just in free mode. This would be fine except I can't record. DJ store doesn't know how to help either. Please help! Or even tips on other ways to record. Thanks!!

DDJ-1000 is a hardware unlock device for rekordbox 6 and 7.
Which means you can use it with Performance Mode while controller is connected.
But it does not mean it activates a paid plan, so it is normal that it shows Free Plan.
You are able to record in Performance Mode while controller is connected.
