XDJ XZ

Hi all I own an XDJ XZ. My issue is the instant sync with using serato, I have sync on both decks and quantise on but when I hit the start button to mix in I always have to adjust the jog wheel to get it in time where as I have used rekordbox before serato and when you hit the start button to mix in there is no jog wheel adjustment to make. Is this normal or am I missing something? I have looked in all settings on serato and the xz and still the same issue. All songs have been beat grid. Can anyone help? Many thanks
