XDJ-AZ - Auto Talk over ducking delay
Hey there,
I just received my new XDJ-AZ yesterday, which I got to replace my XDJ-XZ. Of course, the first thing I did was update the firmware and spend some time testing everything out.
Unfortunately, I immediately noticed that the Auto Talk feature is very different from what I’m used to - not only compared to the XDJ-XZ, but also to all other Pioneer mixers I’ve tried. After speaking into the mic, there’s about a one-second delay before the music returns to its normal volume. I’ve never experienced such a long delay with any other Pioneer mixer or all-in-one system.
This delay really disrupts the flow during live use. I would really appreciate it if AT could adjust this delay and bring it back to the level of the XZ, where the transition is much quicker and smoother.
Thanks for considering this feedback! Would love to hear if others have found a workaround or if there’s any official word on an update.
Best regard,
Harddried

hi, I have the same problem, and it's a very important feature for me! In my old XZ everything worked perfectly, but now I have to wait 1 second for the music volume to return. That one second is too long...
greetz from poland,
Matys
can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
Please open up an official ticket for the support. Thats the only way we can adress this directly to AT / Pioneer, to let them see, that this is not just "a small issue for one user".
I wrote emails and nothing... no answer... WTF ?
You need to open a ticket via this link:

Choose your country and then open up the contact form and fill out your information.
PC / Mac Setup not needed, since this is a AlphaTheta hardware issue. And maybe tell them directly that you got the latest firmware 1.22 installed. Otherwise they will just reply and ask for this after some days...
New firmware that includes the fix of issue has been released.
Please update the firmware and give us feedback if possible.
