Half the Beat FX on Opus Quad are Unselectable

We just started using our new Opus Quad tonight and when we turn the beatfx selector knob, half the fx cannot be selected. Trans, pitch, and several others won't select but we still have to turn the knob as many times as the full list to move past these effects. Are these not hardware effects or is this some kind of paywalled feature? Please help shed some light on this if you know. We updated to the latest firmware and tried with sticks, windows (virtual DJ) and Mac (serato) but none of that seemed to make a difference for the missing fx
