Using 2 different and completely separate collections on the same log on and pc

I find that my workflow is much better and my time used much more efficiently, if I limit my collection to ca 500 tracks.

Therefore I want to have 2 collections on my PC. A "Live" Collection with tracks I currently use (ca 500), and an "Archive" Collection with tracks that I don't use at the moment, but may be using again some time in the future.

I do not want to loose hours of work when removing tracks from collection, and being forced to waste my time by doing the excat thing that I have done before, when re-adding previously removed tracks.

How can I achieve my goal of having 2 collection and being able to move tracks between these 2 databases without losing cues, tags etc.?

An easier way to achieve what you want is use intelligent playlists with the 5 star rating system. Give your top 500 tracks a 5 star rating then build intelligent playlists that only look for 5 star tracks. You can also create other conditions like genre, tags etc to add to the playlists. This also means when exporting via Sync Manager it's quicker to export as it only needs to update the playlists after your first initial export, instead of removing and re-adding every track.

DaVOLD Thanks for your comment. Stars are already used. Your suggestion is not a viable solution for me. In any case, I am much more comfortable with an "out of sight, out of mind" setup. By leaving tracks I don't use in a collection I invariably end up investing time in them (read: wasting time on them). But I do not want to loose all the hard work I put into a track. Example: older Disco Music, which I have painstakingly manually adjusted the beatgrid. So I definitely am looking for a way to have multiple collections which are completely separated. That is what works best for me.

I don't believe there's anyway to achieve what you want without creating a 2nd account and using a different login and rekordbox library. Assuming you already pay for a subscription, then you'd have to pay twice to use the same features on both accounts. Do you use Intelligent Playlists? They really are quite powerful.
