Feature Request: Automatic Start & End Loops in Rekordbox
The only feature I really wish Rekordbox had is automation for auto loops at the start and end of tracks. Specifically:
-
An automatic loop at the beginning of the track, right on a beat.
-
An automatic loop at the end, triggered in a section with clear beats and fewer elements, so the transition flows smoothly.
It would also be amazing if Rekordbox could learn from track patterns and automatically create these loops, just like it already does with hot cues.
And honestly, if the upcoming CDJ-3000X could create an automatic loop at the end of a track in a beat-heavy section with minimal elements, that would be a dream for any DJ. Never again worrying if the track is about to end while I’m digging for the next one. Please AlphaTheta/Pioneer (idk what to call u anymore).

Thank you for your feedback and request.
We have forwarded your feedback to the engineering team for future consideration.
However we cannot guarantee when or if they would implement it.
I forgot to mention something important: I use a DDJ-RX3 and have many tracks with auto-loops enabled at the end. When I set a playlist to play in continuous mode—without physically performing—the auto-loop gets triggered at the end of each track. That stops the playlist from continuing automatically, forcing me to turn off the loop one track at a time. Honestly, it’s easier to just queue a playlist on Spotify.
So here’s the request in short: There should be an option to disable auto-loops during playlist/continuous playback in Rekordbox, as well as directly on hardware. If the DDJ-RX3 could receive this via a firmware update—or if it came built into future devices—that would make a huge difference.
In addtion Rekordbox should automate the creation of auto-loops at the beginning and end of tracks, with loops perfectly aligned on beat, triggered in minimal sections, and ideally learned from track patterns the same way hot cues already are. If the upcoming CDJ-3000X (or even DDJ-RX3) could do this natively, it would be a dream for any DJ—never again worrying if the track is about to end while I’m digging for the next one.
Thank you!
