PIONEER DJM-800 ear master on headphone without any CUE activated

Hi,

I've a problem with a DJM-800 from second hand market with the headphone output. When phone MIXING pot is set to CUE and no CUE button are selected, I ear a very poor Master signal on headphone. This poor master signal doesn't increase with headphone LEVEL pot but increase according to master LEVEL. I don't understand how this problem could be an hardware problem as the CUE management seems fully digital (CUE selection come from DSP chip) so I would like know if this issue concern all DJM-800 or just my mine. To reproduce the problem, disconnect Master output and play track on Line CH1 or CH2 or CH3, put phone MIXING pot on CUE (not master) and don't select CUE button (all CUE button switched OFF), put Master LEVEL in the middle and listen your headphone. You should ear your track not very loud but you could ear it and if you increase Master LEVEL then you will ear more loud and dirty. On my point of view, with good mixer, you should ear nothing on headphone in this state and it's not the case on my side.

Hope somebody could try this state and help me to know if it's problem on my DJM-800 or if it's DJM-800 working.

Best regards

Arnaud

Problem fixed, it comes from XLR cable to RCA unbalanced where cold point is connected to the ground on XLR side and so, cold signal from balanced XLR output was send to the DJM-800 ground and give this problem.
