DJM REC PIONEER DJM 750 MK2

Dear Pioneer DJ Support,

I’m experiencing a playback speed issue when recording my sets with DJM-REC from a DJM-750MK2 to an iPhone 16 Pro (USB-C). The resulting audio/video plays slower than real time.

Setup

• Mixer: DJM-750MK2 1.06

• Phone: iPhone 16 Pro (USB-C), iOS IOS26

• App: DJM-REC 1.5.4 

• Purpose: Recording/streaming sets (sometimes alongside video capture)

Symptoms

• Recorded files play back slower (audio pitch/time feels ~8% down), both in DJM-REC and/or when imported into other apps for video.

• Issue appears intermittently; restarting sometimes helps but doesn’t reliably fix it.

What I suspect

• A sample-rate mismatch: it seems DJM-REC (and/or iOS) is capturing at 48 kHz, but some apps (or the system) may be playing back at 44.1 kHz, which causes the “slow” effect.

• Alternatively, a USB-C class-compliant quirk on recent iOS versions when using external interfaces.

What I’ve tried

• Ensured recording/export at 48 kHz in DJM-REC.

• Matched project/sample-rate settings to 48 kHz in my video apps.

• Rebooted iPhone and force-quit/reopened DJM-REC.

• Swapped to a short, known good USB-A↔USB-C data cable (not “charge-only”).

• Tested playback in multiple apps; some show correct speed, others slow (suggesting a rate mismatch).

• Kept iOS and DJM-REC updated to the latest available versions.

Questions

1. Can you please confirm full compatibility of DJM-REC with iPhone 16 Pro (USB-C) on the latest iOS versions for digital recording from DJM-750MK2?

2. Are you aware of known issues on iOS (USB-C) that could cause sample-rate negotiation problems or slowed playback?

3. Is there a recommended fixed sample-rate setting for DJM-REC on iOS (e.g., forcing 48 kHz end-to-end), or any specific app/OS settings I should change?

4. Are there firmware or app updates planned that address this behavior? If so, is there an ETA?

Diagnostics I can provide

• Short test recordings (original files from DJM-REC).

• Exact firmware/app/iOS versions and a screen recording of the issue.

• Serial number of the mixer.
