Rekordbox will not open after a failed update to From 7.6 to 7.7

Rekordbox will not open after a failed update to From 7.6 to 7.7

Rekordbox update failed updating to V 7.7 and when I try to open it again, I get a message that says "Communication with RekordboxAgent Failed". There is a link with troubleshooting that suggests it may be due to anti virus or VPN software. I have neither of those, and have never experienced this problem in the past. I suspect this is something with the failed update. Wondering how I can roll back to the previous version. or any other helpful ideas would be much appreciated!
