My DDJ-WEGO-R with the latest firmware (1.09) doesn't work with rekordbox 6.8.6

I can see that my mac (sequoia) see it just fine in devices, the controller lights up and seems to be recognized by rekordbox, but doesnt seem to connect for performance (the load button doesnt activate, cue/play etc) my ddj-800 does work just fine. I have the cloud subscription that seems to say i can use the wego-w with my subscription (or mobile on the go djing). can you help? I have the latest firmware installed (what a pain that was).

Please help, i would like to take wego to mexico for thanksgiving.
