Streaming from iphone to cdj/xdj - why so hard :(
Ok I finally got this setup going (make sure you use a camera adapter for the iphone or it wont work) thinking I could leave the laptop at home... super excited yay welcome to the 2020's finally.... Then realised we can't stream tidal/beatport from the iphone AND also access the music on there. Why the F not? - modern phones are super powerful this should be easy!
Selecting rekordbox on the CDJ lets us use the phone as a big USB, great.... but then no options to stream a requested track we might not have.
Seleting link (instead of rekordbox) then gives us access to rekordbox app which we can stream (without any cdj HID controls which is also whack) but then stops access to pro link.
Please tell me pioneer how we are supposed to do this? No I don't want to setup icloud streaming on the CDJ because no club I've ever visted has this setup and they don't want us messing around with their gear to do so.
I guess only easy option right now is to continue to lug my laptop around to gigs?

ok so here is an update to my workflow for anyone else trying to NOT take a laptop to a gig:
Djay pro for iphone connects to my XDJ1000mk2 beautifully and full HID interaction via link - And let's me stream music services.I'm only using it on one XDJ but thats ok thats enough for taking requests etc. You can apparently use it on multiple XDJ's/CDJ's but you need a class compliant mixer to do so which I don't have, but might looks at swapping up to one with this.(S7 S9 etc)
I'll still keep the rekordbox app with my full music library on my phone as a backup to my USBs incase I ever have a USB failure - but until the app can stream aswell as access local music I'll only ever see it as a backup app.
Long story short, Alpha Theta please enable rekordbox app to stream AND access local music. You're so close to having a really great portable modern solution! You can do ittttt!
