DDJ-REV5 | Sound Issues

Hello, my setup consists of a DDJ-REV5 and a MacBook Pro 16 (M1 Max) with 64 GB of RAM.
They are connected directly using a high-quality USB-C cable.
The REV5 has the latest firmware installed, and the Mac is running macOS 15 Sequoia.
Serato DJ Pro 4.x is being used as the DJ software; however, the problem persists even with SDJ 3.x.

My sound issue manifests as follows:
In the software, the analyzed tracks level within the green zone—sometimes extending slightly into the yellow zone—without clipping.
Auto-Gain is set to the standard 92 dB. The buffer size is set to 2 ms.
The mixer's line channel is configured to level at 0 dB. The Master output also levels at 0 dB.
Occasionally, a peak will briefly jump up to +3 dB.

Recently, while playing at a club, I noticed that the sound quality seemed "unclean"—it sounded slightly distorted.
I set up a test environment at home to verify and reproduce this issue.
During this testing, I observed that signal distortion occurs the moment the mixer's levels even just reach 0 dB.
In some instances, this distorted sound is very clearly perceptible—not only through the Master Out but also through the Headphone Out.

I attempted to reproduce this behavior on my old DDJ-SX2. On that unit, I was able to push the levels well past 0 dB before the sound began to degrade. On my smaller Reloop Ready controller, hardly any distortion was audible at all.
At times, it sounds as though an elevated bass signal might be the trigger for this issue—though that is merely my impression. I have tested various settings:
Serato – Auto-Gain set below 90 dB, Pitch’n’Time disabled, buffering increased
Mac – Sound settings checked
Controller – Utility Mode: Master Out set to –6 dB
USB-C cable replaced
Master Out connection switched from XLR to RCA
Master Out switched to Booth Out
Bass EQ set to a negative value

The only thing that provided some relief was setting the Master Out level to –6 dB. However, this now results in a rather low output signal.

I am a bit at a loss as to what else the problem could be—or is the controller simply extremely sensitive and prone to digital clipping at the standard 0 dB Master Out signal level?
With this setting, one has very little visual control over the output level.

I haven't been able to find any other configuration options. Even using the accompanying software from Pioneer, there is no way to adjust any audio parameters.

I would be very grateful for any helpful tips.

Sound-Probleme mit DDJ REV5

Hallo, mein Setup besteht aus der DDJ REV5 und einem MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max mit 64 GB RAM.
Verbunden sind sie direkt mit hochwertigem USB-C-Kabel.
Der REV5 hat die letzte Firmware installiert und am Mac läuft noch macOS 15 Sequoia.
Als DJ-Software wird Serato DJ Pro 4.x genutzt. Das Problem besteht aber auch bei SDJ 3.x.

Folgend stellt sich mein Soundproblem dar:
In der Software Leveln die analysierten Tracks im grünen, teilweise leicht bis in den gelben Bereich, ohne Clipping.
Auto-Gain ist auf standard 92 dB gesetzt. Buffering ist auf 2 ms gestellt.
Der Line-Kanal des Mixers ist so eingestellt, dass er auf 0 dB level. Der Master level ebenfalls auf 0 db.
Gelegentlich kommt es vor, dass ein Peak mal auf +3 dB hoch geht.

Jüngst viel mir im Club auf, dass der Sound unsauber klang. Es wirkte leicht übersteuert.
zu Hause hab ich mir ein Setup aufgestellt, um dies prüfen/nachvollziehen zu können.
Hierbei fiel auf, dass es zu einer Übersteuerung des Signals kommt, sobald auch nur die 0 dB am Mixer erreicht werden.
Teilweise ist der unsaubere Klang sehr deutlich wahrnehmbar. Nicht nur über den Master-Out, auch über den Headphone-Out.

Ich habe versucht, dies an meiner alten DDJ SX2 zu reproduzieren. Da konnte ich weit über 0 dB Leveln, bis der Sound unsauber wurde. Bei meinem kleinen Reloop Ready waren kaum Verzerrungen zu vernehmen.
Es klingt teilweise so, als wäre ein erhöhtes Basssignal der Auslöser, das ist aber nur mein Eindruck.

Ich habe diverse Einstellungen durchgetestet:
Serato – Auto-Gain unter 90 dB, Pitch’n’Time deaktiviert, Buffering erhöht
Mac – Soundeinstellungen überprüft
Controller – Utillity-Mode Master-Out –6 dB
USB-C-Kabel getauscht
Master-Out XLR durch Cinch ersetzt
Master-Out switch zu Booth-Out
Bass im negativen Bereich eingestellt

Das einzige, was etwas Abhilfe geschaffen hatte, war den Mater-Out-Pegel auf –6 dB einzustellen. Was jetzt aber ein recht geringes Ausgangssignal zur Folge hat.

Ich bin etwas überfragt, was noch das Problem sein kann, oder reagiert der Controller einfach nur extrem Empfindlich und hat schnell ein digitales Clipping bei standard 0 dB Master-Out-Signal?
Mit dieser Einstellung hat man sehr wenig visuelle Kontrolle über den Ausgangs-Pegel.

Weitere Einstellungsmöglichkeite habe ich nicht finden können. Auch mit der zugehörigen Software von Pioneer gibt es keine Möglichkeit, am Sound etwas anzupassen.

Für hilfreiche Tipps bin ich sehr dankbar.
