No Audio Output- DDJ FLX4 W
My controller has an ouput for headphones; as well as outputs on the back to connect speakers. I am unable to get sound to play out of any of these. I've tried updating the settings with both Rekordbox and Serato. The music IS playing on my laptop speakers, but when I try to get it to play through the external speakers or headphones, I'm not able to get any sound.

Hi Jessica. When I first got my controller it took me quite a while to get sound because I hadn't configured my computer's audio correctly first. I can speak to a Mac if you're on Mac i might be able to help.
I do have a Mac! Can you please let me know what you did on your mac audio controller? I've tried looking at this, but haven't figured it out!
Hi there,
Can you please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
For Mac-
These setting are for playing music out of your monitors (plugged into the rca terminals of FLX-4) and your headphones (plugged into the headphone port).
On your Mac go to: System Settings > Sound > Output > DDJ-FLX4
Then in your Rekordbox app-
Go to Preferences > Audio > on the Configuation tab > under Audio select DDJ-FLX4
Then on the Input/Output tab > scroll down to Output Channels > Master Output > select DDJ-FLX4 : MASTER
Headphones Output: select to DDJ-FLX4 : PHONES
Booth Output: select DDJ-FLX4 : MASTER
Ok! When I put the configuration-audio setting to "DDJ-FLX4" and the Output Setting for BOTH Master Output AND Headphones to "DDJ-FLX4: PHONES" I hear the sound play out of the headphones. I'm still working on the speakers, but I'm going to double check that I'm using the right cable.
Thank you...this helped!
yay okay i am not an expert myself but know the frustration. best of luck & I'm sure there's a thread on this forum with detailed instructions/troubleshooting. Also have you just tried finding a youtube video? visuals are always so much easier for this kind of stuff
