Recording Issues in Rekordbox 7 – Audio Goes Silent After 3 Minutes of Recording
I recently upgraded from the FLX-4 to the GRV-6. I thought it would be a great upgrade, but honestly, it has only left me frustrated with Rekordbox.
I was using Rekordbox 6 without any issues. It worked great for me, and I never felt the need to update it. However, with the new controller I had to upgrade to Rekordbox 7, and I really regret doing so.
It feels like there's a new problem every day.
My latest issue is that I can't reliably record my sets. One day, the recording ends up with audio drifting out of sync, making it sound like I completely messed up the beatmatching. The next day, it records only the first 3 minutes and the rest of the file is just silence.
At this point, I don't know what else to do. I've already updated my PC's audio drivers, increased the audio buffer size in the software, and tried different settings, but every recording is a surprise.
What is the actual solution to this? Wait for Rekordbox 8?

I'm going to explain how I solved it. First, you need to make sure your computer has enough resources to run Rekordbox.
On Windows 11, I had to make several power adjustments to improve performance, such as disabling processes during recording and turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
I recommend using ChatGPT and explaining your situation to them; they'll guide you through making the necessary adjustments on your computer. Be careful with your mobile phone; turn off internet, Wi-Fi, etc., as this can cause interference. Even the smallest detail can create interference.
I spent a lot of time on this and finally got it working. I understand how you feel. Good luck!
