HDJ-F10 Wireless Audio Only Works in One Ear – Exhausted All Troubleshooting. Any Ideas?

I'm hoping someone has seen this before.

My AlphaTheta HDJ-F10 headphones have developed an issue where wireless audio only plays through one earcup. Even the headphones' voice prompts (audio assist) only play through the right ear. However, when I connect them using the included audio cable, both left and right channels work perfectly with my XDJ-AZ.

Because wired mode works normally, I don't believe the speaker drivers are damaged. It seems like the problem is related to the internal wireless circuitry.

To save everyone time, here is everything I've already tried:

  • Performed a factory reset by holding the multifunction and Volume (+) buttons for 5 seconds.

  • Removed and re-paired the headphones from all devices.

  • Tested using both XDJ-AZ SonicLink and iPhone Bluetooth. Audio only plays through one earcup

  • Tested with multiple audio sources:

    • AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ

    • Smartphone

    • Laptop

  • Verified that all devices are outputting stereo audio.

  • Checked all accessibility settings, including:

    • Left/right balance

    • Mono audio

    • Stereo output

  • Confirmed the issue is identical on every device.

  • Fully powered the headphones off and back on multiple times.

  • Confirmed that the same earcup is always silent in wireless mode.

  • Verified that both earcups work perfectly in wired mode.

At this point, I'm leaning toward a hardware failure affecting the wireless audio path (wireless amplifier, DSP, internal flex cable, or another internal component).

Has anyone experienced this exact issue with the HDJ-F10?

  • Were you able to fix it?

  • Is there any hidden service mode or additional troubleshooting I haven't tried?

  • Or did it ultimately require an RMA or hardware repair?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I send them in for warranty service. Thanks!
