Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a very specific and frustrating issue with my DDJ-FLX10, which started immediately after updating Rekordbox 6.
Both of my VIEW buttons (on both sides of the controller) have stopped working completely. They do not trigger any screen layout changes in Rekordbox, and they do not light up.
Here is what I have done to troubleshoot and isolate the issue:
  • MIDI Mapping Check: When opening the MIDI settings in Rekordbox and using the "LEARN" function, the software does not register any incoming MIDI signals at all when I physically press either of the VIEW buttons. However, the large Browse knob and all other buttons work and register perfectly.
  • Hardware/Cross-Platform Isolation: To rule out computer or driver issues, I tested the controller on a completely different computer with a fresh install of Rekordbox. The issue persists.
  • Software Isolation: I also tested the controller using Serato DJ Pro. The VIEW buttons are completely unresponsive there as well.
  • Cables & Connections: I have tried using brand new, high-quality USB cables and connected them directly to different USB ports on the computers (no USB hubs used).
  • Factory Reset & Firmware: I have tried doing a factory reset on the controller. The built-in jog wheel displays work flawlessly, and the controller outputs audio normally—only the two physical VIEW buttons seem to be completely dead.
Since this happened on the exact same day as the software update, it feels like a firmware glitch or a digital bus lockup inside the controller itself rather than a mechanical hardware failure, especially since both buttons went dead simultaneously.
Has anyone else experienced this specific issue with the VIEW buttons after a recent update, or does anyone know a way to force-flash/deep reset the controller's internal firmware to unlock the buttons?
