Decks not appearing on the layout / windows 11
FIX: rekordbox 7 decks/player disappeared on Windows — GPU setting fixed it
Post:
I wanted to share this in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
I was using rekordbox 7.2.19 on Windows 64-bit and suddenly my Deck 1 and Deck 2/player section disappeared completely in Performance mode.
My library and playlists were still working normally. I could see all my tracks, but the entire upper section where the decks, platters and waveforms normally appear was blank.
I tried:
Switching between Export and Performance mode
2 Deck Horizontal
2 Deck Vertical
Checking the Show/Hide Pad and Platter option
Restarting rekordbox
Pressing Spacebar
None of those fixed it.
What finally fixed it:
Open Windows Settings
Go to System → Display → Graphics
Add the rekordbox program/executable under custom graphics settings.
Select rekordbox and choose High performance for GPU preference.
Save the setting.
Restart the computer.
After restarting, I opened rekordbox and Deck 1 and Deck 2 were back and working normally.
So in my case, the problem appears to have been related to Windows GPU/display rendering for rekordbox, rather than my rekordbox library or Performance-mode settings.
If your rekordbox library is visible but the entire deck/player area is blank, I would recommend checking the Windows Graphics GPU preference before deleting your database, reinstalling rekordbox, or changing your library settings.
Hopefully this saves somebody else a few hours of troubleshooting!
If this works for you, please comment with your Windows version, GPU, and rekordbox version so we can see whether there's a pattern.
